In this business, the competition is fierce. You have heard about all of the internet network marketing gurus. You know their names.  You’ve probably purchased a lot of their products trying to figure out how you can follow in their footsteps to success.  But, do you know the secret of rising above the competition?

First, let me be perfectly honest with you.  If you are trying to compete against the big names, if you want to go toe-to-toe against the heavy hitters, you’re setting yourself up for failure.  Don’t fight a battle you cannot win. 

The secret is, the gurus aren’t your competition!

You are unique.  You have a personality and qualities that differ from everyone else on the planet.  You have had experiences and emotions in your life that no one else has had.  If you can manage to involve these in your internet network marketing business, you cannot help but succeed.

The problem is, you don’t want to try to succeed by copying someone else.  The gurus achieved success because they used their own qualities, capabilities, and personalities to develop their network marketing businesses on the internet.  If you want to succeed, you’ll have to power your business with your own personal attributes.

While you can probably achieve a certain amount of success following someone else’s blueprint, in the final evaluation, you have nothing of yourself to offer.  Why should your prospect buy into your internet network marketing opportunity, if you are a nothing more than a carbon copy of someone else?  Wouldn’t they be better off going straight to the source?

I’m not suggesting you blaze your own trail, unless that’s what you really want to do.  You can learn from others and find some shortcuts to success.  If you hitch your wagon to an internet network marketing star, you certainly increase the possibility that you will succeed in a shorter amount of time than they did.

What I am saying is, don’t sell yourself short.  You have your own history and experiences that will help you develop a very personal connection with people looking for an internet network marketing opportunity.  You will draw these people to you through your sincerity, and you will likely find ways to succeed that your personal guru or mentor never thought of — because you have something that they don’t.  You are uniquely you.

The competition in network marketing is tough — especially in the internet arena.  But, your competitive focus should be on how can you top today what you did yesterday?  How can you better your performance from last month?  What are you going to do differently this year to surpass last year’s success.

I can tell you without a doubt that the best sales copy is sincere.  Do you truly believe in the products you are trying to sell?  Or are you just trying to use the internet to cash in on a profitable network marketing opportunity? 

Do you have a personal testimony to tell that will draw people to you?  You’d better tell the truth, because people can spot insincerity a mile away.  Oh, you might be able to pull the wool over a few eyes, and get some people to sign up for your internet network marketing opportunity.  But, what happens when they can’t achieve success themselves?  Do you have a program for success that they can follow?

It isn’t a new saying, but it’s a very valuable one that is equally as true for internet network marketing as it is for any other business endeavor.  “Do what you love, and the money will follow.”

It isn’t enough that this network marketing opportunity is popular.  It isn’t enough that people are making lots of money over the internet in this opportunity.  Is it something you can believe in?  Can you fully support it?  Is it something that you love?

For almost 4 years I was struggling extremely hard to make it in network mlm marketing and nothing was happening. I followed my upline’s training, made my warm market list, cold market list, cold called prospects, did 3 way calls with prospect and upline, religiously went to meetings, attended training seminars both in and out of state, set appointments to show the plan and hosted countless home meetings. These expenses plus buying product on autoship was causing a serious drain on my cash flow. For all my hardwork, I had nothing to show for it but debt, 2 maxed out credit cards, an abundance of product, and a growing list of friends who avoided talking with me. I often thought to myself: There’s got to be a better way to do this. Something’s missing – it can’t be this hard?

Maybe you can relate.

I respected my MLM upline and wanted to copy them so I could duplicate their success.  But A low point of my earlier experience was that when I would talk with my upline, and some of the so-called gurus, about the specific plan they used to achieve success, I never got anything that I could quantify or frankly understand. I would ask my upline why we did not take greater advantage of the internet in our marketing plans, I was politely ignored. Confusion was a constant for me.

The worst part about it was, I could not – for the life of me – figure out why this wasn’t working! I was doing everything I had been told to do. In fact, I did way more than that. I was the kind of distributor you’d kill for.   My “WHY” was as strong then as it is today.  But I wasn’t any closer to the dream of financial freedom than I was when I started.  In fact, I began to feel as if I had been ripped off  by what I had been taught about network marketing.  So I decided to abandon most everything I had learned about mlm network marketing.  I began looking to the internet for real answers as to why I was spinning my wheels and possible solutions to my marketing problems.

My persistance to find the truth about the secrets of MLM internet Marketing success, and my unrelenting goal to achieve financial freedom, finally led turned on the light about my pass failures and what was wrong.  Armed with that new found knowledge, I was no longer confused and my entire view of mlm network marketng was changed forever.

A key discovery for me was that almost everything I’ve ever been taught about building a network marketing business is absolute BS!  The major reason for that is:  In the network marketing industry,  we have a genuine case of the blind leading the blind.  Network marketing is very unique in that it’s the only business opportunity that’s ever been marketed to the general public on such a massive scale.   Average, every-day people are told that they can jump right into this, with no prior experience what-so-ever and make a killing within 6 months!

For example:
I was taught that everyone is a prospect. As a result, I hosted a meeting for a member of my downline. The two prospects (Husband & Wife) who attended were both unemployed, could not articulate any goals, not interested in starting a home business. I had lossed them after the introductions. But my worse regret was that I had passed the same bad training to my downline. As I drove home from this meeting (140 miles), I kelp thinking that we needed a better way to qualify our prospects. Thouands of people are being taught that you don’t need any experience to succeed as they join the MLM network marketing industry over and over again. As a result, 95% of people who get involved in network marketing have absolutely no foundation in effective sales techniques or good business practices.  I feel ripped off by the horrible mess of hype, hot air, misconceptions, falsehoods, delusions, distortions, myths and downright lies that get passed along from one sponsor to the next.  It is clear that this is what happens when you take a bunch of people who don’t have a clue about sales and marketing and have them tell a bunch of other people who don’t have a clue about sales or marketing, to go make a bunch of money doing it.  You see, not only do the common methods taught in MLM network marketing not work, they’re also destructive.  That’s why it’s so common to feel like you’re working yourself  into the ground and not getting anything out of it.

 Well, I had put up with this for far too long.  So I started doing the opposite of what my upline had taught me to do and guess what?  I didn’t just start to experience success – I was flooded with it.

I finally stumbled on the secrets to a successful MLM internet network marketing plan.  I also stumbled upon a mentor who began to make sense to me about using the power of the Internet as a content rich source for MLM network marketing.  Now, my stress has diasppeared. I wake up each morning truly excited and enthusiastic about my Home MLM internet business.   I went from the desperation of attracting one person every 3 months into my business…to having more eager prospects than I could handle.

If you’re willing to be open-minded and not afraid of change that you can believe in,  you will discover how you can easily do this too.  I now know that  Network marketing doesn’t have to be so hard.   Using the wrong techniques – like trying to force a square peg into a round hole – makes it hard.

What’s up with Network Marketing?

Recently, I’ve been giving a lot thought to the problems I’m hearing about the difficulties related to network marketing. Now, truthfully, I’m a network marketing freak. I love the concept, I love the compensation of most of the programs and I especially love the residual income that can be derived from a successful business.

And that brings me to my point: how is network marketing to be successful in the 21st century? More than ever with companies laying off workers, the cost of living skyrocketing, gas going crazy, healthcare costs in the stratosphere we’re seeing a greater need than ever for folks to create new avenues of income and network marketing is in a prime position to reign supreme. But, battling things like the web, the internet, videos, email, fatigue, stress, etc. all creating noise and fighting for the attention of possible leads and downlines, how does a person break through to reach qualified, interested leads?

Having been involved in network marketing in one form or another for over twenty years I’ve been able to watch the evolution of the marketing methods used in the business and I’ve come to this conclusion: there’s been NO evolution! Right? Most programs are STILL using flyers, home meetings, hotel meetings, cold calling, buying lists, buying ads, posting literature, etc. as though these were cutting edge ideas!!

Those avenues are like trying to get around on horse and buggy when you could be flying a jet. Both work, both will get you to your destination, but, there’s a world of difference is the results from using them.

Come on! This is the 21st Century, for crying out loud. Do these companies know the internet exists? Most just use it to post a homepage for their reps to send folks to, but, don’t have the foggiest idea how to use it correctly to qualify leads.

Training, teaching and mentoring are what I do best now a days and I tell all of my downlines to quit cold calling, toss the flyers and get with the program. Use the internet wisely and you can have leads and future downlines actually seeking YOU out without ever wasting time and money on fruitless, and truthfully, sometimes painful methods.

Network marketing in the 21st century is fun, exciting, and profitable. Technology has changed the way we do business in the MLM world. If your struggling with success, discouraged with your progress and frustrated with your small checks (assuming you EVEN get one) then take my suggestion and hit the Net. All you’ll need is a good mentor that knows and understands and uses the internet properly, a program you like and believe in, and a desire and drive to prosper. Just like the old days only at lightning speed!

Firstly its pertinent to point out what does it really mean by offline network marketing prospecting? It means going out to meet people, using your own car or taking the bus! That’s right its such a waste of time and money. Allow me to just to go in detail of this negative activity and why in today’s era it’s a big NO-NO!

•    One of the many methods available would be leaflets, (yes you guessed it going to door to door in the hot sun to drop of leaflets to people in all likelihood would throw it anyway or placing advertisement in newspaper or magazine (but lets face it, busy business people read the paper online and may not really have time to read the paper or the magazine!)

•    That is why online network marketing prospecting in today’s time is the way to go! Interestingly prospecting has been defined in the dictionary as gold.

•    This is because you need to find people if you are going to do it the offline way akin to the door to door method, it is not really going to make much sense, the people you approach may not even be interested.

•    Now if you do it online, you can easily find people whom are interested in your business and products, as the potentials will come to you. No sweat and labour. Simple!

•    Secondly the exposure in lieu of network marketing prospecting is very important as you are exposing your idea and what you are selling. So exposure is necessary.

•    Another reason it would be necessary is that exposure would be important as these would also lead to people whom are genuinely interested to work for you.
